25: Illegal Smile - and now the famous singalong song, lights go up, John
walks away from the mic and leaves the words to the fan. who ALL know
the words.
"Jody, why don't you come out and join us?" he asks as they end
this most amazing and gift filled show- John looks toward the boons and
there is no one else coming out to join him. I would have liked to see if
this is the Jody that is mentioned on a few of his albums liner notes -
sigh, enough gifts for the night, I guess.
26: Paradise
Wow, another Prine show, over and done with, so many highlights - new
songs - new laughter - as always, it is a different and special experience
each time.
John made several references to his family in the crowd that came out
from his old stomping grounds, he had quite a large turnout. There was a
huge crowd outside the back stage door waiting for him, not to mention a
family gathering already in progress with little kids waiting to see Uncle
John too. He met with a smattering of folks, mostly family, wow, they just
adore him, and it's nice to witness the normal life of an American
Treasure.
