THE CRUSHFEST SONG or (Lost Dogs
  and Party Frogs)
©1999 by Rick Vanover and the John Prine Shriners

They came from the mountains and the valleys,
  cities, farms and towns.
  To Crusherfest to honor Prine
  and spread goodwill around.
  PMS*red and Crusher
  - a staple short of a whole knee,
welcomed friends from far and wide
to the shores of Lake Marie.
  -chorus-
And the frogs were sleepn in shifts
  in that chocolate smelln town.
  Heaven rumbled while Jesus moved
  Marys furniture around.
  Cyber Geeks and sixties freaks
a yellow bus and a box of fun.
Rain soaked logs and Gomers dogs.
When will them sausages be done?

Big burly men with hearts of gold,
old folks and young folks too.
Singles, pairs with rain soaked hairs
  shared a toke or two.

  Sittn around a campfire
while lost dogs all sang a song.
Illegal smiles that last for miles
  as the guitars strummed along.
  -repeat chorus-
When John asked for a woman
that would make his knees knock.
"Right here, John", could be heard
  No Shriners were in shock.
Friends you know but havent met
  photographs and tears.
  John Prine gave us memories
  that will last for years.
  -repeat chorus-
  -spoken-
Hey, who took the candle from the Porta Potty?
Which way is the nudist camp from here?
Shhhh! Did you hear an elephant?
"You Shriners have a great time at Lake Marie"
