John fiddles with his guitar, sips some water and reports that he is about half way through a new album. He and Roger Cook like to play dominoes and have a beer, and they wrote the next song with John's beautiful wife in mind - well, John had her in mind, he hoped that she was not on Roger's mind. We were then blessed with the subtitled "Fiona's song".
7. "The Glory of True Love" -When his songs are that new, people sit with their mouths open in awe, and nothing but foot tapping, chair rocking sounds are heard. "Old Faithful's just a fountain, compared to the glory of true love" 

I think John is in a place these days where he can visit that dark place his former songs were written at but, his new tunes relate to the upbeat affair his heart is having now.

12: That's The Way That The World Goes Round - and during the song he told the famous "Enchilada story" he has honed this one to a gut buster, complete with quizzical facial expressions and mimickings of a friends dilemma at the name of a song - he finished it with "It's a Happy enchilada and you think you're gonna drown"

The next song was another first time out of the box, opening a present song. No tag, just a pretty package of well formed words and shiny ribbons. It was about the craziness of becoming a country star.. This song travels from Hollywood through Nashville to New York. Um, since I'm doing a setlist, for those of you that like that sort of thing, let's call it:
