From the Album "Affordable Art" by Steve Goodman

Intro:
[G]

[G] How much tequila did I drink last night?
It's really anybody's guess.
I poured 'em so fast, I couldn't keep 'em in the glass,
But this mo[D]rning I sure am a m[G]ess.
My head is f[C]our or five times its normal size
And I got this b[G]ig old cactus stuck between my eyes.
I can't re[C]call a single thing I did or said
Or the na[G]mes of all these people sleeping in this bed.
T[D]ell me how, tell me how, tell me how, tell me how,
Tell me h[G]ow much tequila did I drink last night?

H[G]ow did I get these cuts and bruises all over my body?
I must have fallen down somehow.
Well, I believe it had something to do with karate --
It's a[D]ll coming back to me n[G]ow.
I was s[C]tanding in a bar with King Kong's cousin,
He m[G]ust have been seven foot three.
His elbow g[C]ave me a bump, and so I said "Hey, chump,
Would you li[G]ke to step outside with me?"
T[D]ell me how, tell me how, tell me how, tell me how,
Well, tell me h[G]ow much tequila did I drink last night?

My mo[C]uth is full of cotton and my brain is sore.
I left l[G]ast night's dinner on this morning's floor.
My b[C]elly is swollen and my eyeballs shrunk.
I dr[A7]ank so much that my h[D]air got drunk.

I seen a b[G]ig old worm about ten feet long
Hallucinating purple cows.
Somebody moved the furniture while I was gone.
Uh oh, th[D]is is not my ho[G]use.
I could c[C]all us a taxi on the telephone
If I j[G]ust knew where we are.
I guess I'm go[C]nna have to drive myself back home
As s[G]oon as I can find the car.
Well, t[D]ell me how, tell me how, tell me how, tell me how,
Tell me h[G]ow much tequila did I drink last nig[G7/B]ht?
